Back Home

A disappointing title for many of you to read I'm sure. Here's what went down this morning...

We got to Dr. Monti's office, and Becca was still having contractions. We only waited about 10 minutes, then we were in - only to find out that the contractions aren't intense enough to call "active" labor. It is labor, just not "active." So, whatever that means, it means that Becca will continue to have these contractions until the "intense" ones start up.

When will that be? Well, God knows. Very well could be before our planned inducing date of Monday the 24th, but we are not sure. I may need to change the poll a bit (thanks for voting, by the way), but I'll keep it for now because there is certainly is a chance that we'll be going back tonight.

Dr. Monti said the prostaglandin did its job and got things rolling as she planned, but it's only the beginning of the process. Becca is now 2 centimeters, and she's 80% effaced, which is great.

That's the news for now. Not great news for my wife, but okay for me because I get to extend this blog for awhile!

Glad you're enjoying it, Beth. Hey, and I still haven't gotten an update on Lee's dad. What all went down?

This is my first time as a Grand Dad. I am excited and BLESSED to be a Grand Dad. Even though I'm not even close to being old enough for this phase of life. I go to Cracker Barrel and sit in their rockers and rock just to get a little practice. Can't wait to see "The Camp" arrive.

I think everyone involved in this thing needs some practice. Glad we can all do it together.
